Harvard Policy Group (HPG)

Launched in 1997, the Harvard Policy Group (HPG) is a partnership among the Kennedy School of Government, IBM's Institute for Electronic Government, American Management Systems, Gartner, and Deloitte Consulting and a group of distinguished public leaders. Several times a year the HPG explores what is being learned about information technology and its impacts on the roles and responsibilities of government. Members of the HPG include legislative and executive leaders, private-sector and public sector leaders, technology and general managers, and public officials from federal, state, and local government in the United States and Canada. Entering its sixth year in 2003, the HPG develops pragmatic guidelines for those who seek to lead in this critical period. Eight Imperatives
